Regarding security export control, we have established the "Aoyama Gakuin University Security Export Control Regulations." In addition, as regulations regarding overall risk management for research activities and industry-academia collaboration activities, including security export control, we have established the "Aoyama Gakuin University Conflict of Interest and Research and Education Ethics Committee Regulations."

Security export control is a management system for maintaining international peace and security, to prevent weapons and goods that can be used for military purposes (machinery, equipment, samples, etc.) and technologies from falling into the hands of countries developing weapons of mass destruction (nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, etc.) or terrorists.
Aoyama Gakuin University University has established a security export control system to ensure proper security export control and is conducting awareness-raising activities for faculty and staff. We ask for your understanding and cooperation with security export control so that you can engage in international educational and research activities with peace of mind.

If you suspect that a transaction that requires security export control procedures may occur, first check the "Preliminary Check Sheet" to see if it is a case that requires an internal review. (If it is clear that an internal review is required, this procedure can be omitted.) If the result shows that an internal review is required, fill out documents ① to ⑤ and submit them to the administrative department (Research Support Department Research Promotion Division, Research Promotion Division, Sagamihara Campus Administration Department). There are three types of preliminary check sheets: "For accepting foreign nationals (international students, researchers, faculty, visitors, etc.)", "For providing technology and exporting goods", and "For accepting specific types of persons (students, researchers, faculty, non-foreigners)". There are two types of review sheets: "For accepting foreign nationals (international students, researchers, faculty, visitors, etc.) or specific types of persons" and "For providing technology and exporting goods", so please use the one that corresponds to you.
If permission is granted as a result of the review, the transaction may be carried out. In addition, as a result of the review, it may be determined that an application for permission from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry is required. (Please refer to "Security Export Control - University Review Process.")
*These procedures must be completed before the transaction is carried out, so please apply approximately two months prior to the transaction.
