We will introduce the graduation requirements and course registration for Department of Education.

Master's Program

  • Completion Requirements

    Students must be enrolled for at least two years, earning a total of 40 credits including 6 credits for foundation subjects, 8 credits for specialized subjects (lectures and seminars) and prescribed research guidance I-IV, and submit a master's degree application thesis or the results of research on a specific topic, which must be reviewed and passed the final examination. However, only students who have enrolled through the adult entrance examination may submit the results of research on a specific topic. Furthermore, of the 40 credits, up to 10 credits of courses from other departments in the Graduate Graduate School of Education, Psychology and Human Studies and other graduate schools with the permission of the research supervisor and the instructor in charge of the course in question may be recognized as credits required for completion. As for the period of enrollment, those who have achieved outstanding research results may be enrolled for at least one year.

Doctoral Program

Completion Requirements

Students must designate a research supervisor, choose a research topic under his/her supervision, complete 12 credits in the prescribed research guidance courses V to X, submit a doctoral thesis and pass its review and the final examination, and pass certification in one foreign language.
In addition, students must take the courses designated by their research supervisor and submit a research progress report at the end of each academic year.
In addition to the above, students enrolled in or after the 2018 academic year must complete a total of 16 credits in specialized seminars I and II (2 credits each).

The standard period for completing a doctoral program is three years (Article 10 of the School Regulations), however, if the above conditions are met, it is possible to complete the program within three years.
