By cultivating public spirit, people acquire the ability to interact with and empathize with others without prejudice.
Curriculum Policy (Policy for creating and implementing educational courses)
We will organize a systematic curriculum that combines academic education and practical education, which will foster a desire to contribute to the future of humanity and international society, and cultivate cultural creativity that is backed by scholarship and has a foundation in the field.
By taking specialized general subjects in two subject groups, Policy/Management and Culture/Ideology, and specialized subjects in Media Culture, Social Design, and Representation Culture, students can acquire comprehensive academic knowledge about culture, specific knowledge in each field, and practical policy knowledge for activities, while also honing their information processing abilities through the media, and acquiring the language skills necessary for intercultural understanding and international exchange. In particular, with regard to language, students will receive intensive small-group English education from English speakers in their first year to support early study abroad and acquire the ability to disseminate information internationally, while in their second year they will take English subjects and in their third year they will take full-fledged English lecture subjects, aiming to acquire cultural knowledge in English for intercultural exchange and disseminating information.
In parallel with the above lecture courses, from the second year onwards, small-group academic seminars taught by full-time faculty are offered to deepen specialized knowledge, while laboratory and atelier training is offered to acquire practical knowledge through fieldwork in collaboration with external organizations, thereby promoting the integration of academic and practical education.
