The future is the age of specialization. As information technology advances rapidly, modern society is facing various problems, and in order to address these problems, advanced specialization in various fields is becoming necessary, and the importance of science and technology in particular is increasing. In our Faculty of Science College of Science and Engineering, we have developed a rich educational and research environment in which students can acquire expertise in each academic field in seven departments, and approximately 135 faculty members are enthusiastic about teaching and research to students. In education, we offer many elective courses that students can choose according to their own interests, including compulsory subjects that form the foundation of science and engineering, until the third year, so that each department can develop expertise based on solid basic academic ability. In addition, The Aoyama Standard, a common education system for all faculties, allows students to acquire rich culture and communication skills that go beyond their fields of expertise. In addition, we offer programs that are tailored to each student, such as the "Advanced Practical Program in Science and Engineering" where students can actively challenge themselves in subjects that interest them from the second year, and the "International Program in Science and Engineering" where students can challenge themselves to study abroad.
The Faculty of College of Science and Engineering has four advanced research centers (Center for Advanced Technology (CAT), Center for Advanced information Technology Research (CAIR), Life Science Research Center (LSC), and Center for Instrumental Analysis) attached to it, and has carried out a wide variety of research and development activities based on the basic principles of "world-leading research" and "research open to the outside world," achieving many results. In addition, the faculty is actively engaged in collaborative research with other universities and companies, and the research themes range from cutting-edge basic research to those aimed at practical application. For students, coming into contact with these themes during their graduation research, which begins in their fourth year, allows them to feel a great sense of growth and take a step forward toward future leaps.

Educational and research objectives
We would like to introduce the educational and research objectives of Aoyama Gakuin University 's College of Science and Engineering.
The College of Science and Engineering aims to enhance education and research through the free and open approach of each department in accordance with the following policies.
- 01. We will pay particular attention to character education, which is a feature of Christian universities, and strive to develop individuals who have a deep sense of mission toward society.
- 02. We aim to provide a comprehensive and unbiased education in order to cultivate scientists and engineers who are well-educated, have a broad perspective, and are able to make fair judgments.
- 03. Considering future international exchange and development in academia, technology, and the economy, we will place emphasis on foreign language education, which is a tradition of Aoyama.
- 04. In specialized education, taking into consideration the rapid progress of science and technology, we will place emphasis on providing students with universal knowledge while keeping a view to the cutting edge.
