About the Research

The aim of this course is to develop the practical skills necessary to engage in highly specialized work in interdisciplinary fields related to comprehensive cultural policy studies, as well as the rich academic knowledge that serves as the foundation for such work, and therefore students take basic subjects as well as specialized subjects centered on their own areas of interest. The specialized subjects in this major are policy management subjects, urban and international subjects, and media art subjects.

Students will decide on a Project Exercise Supervisor at the beginning of the fall semester of their first year, clarify their research topic and research method in Project Exercise I under their main supervisor, and submit a research plan to the "Seminar Supervision Committee" consisting of one main supervisor and two sub-supervisors. Based on the research plan, the "Seminar Supervision Committee" will review the feasibility of achieving research results for a master's thesis or a specific topic. In the spring and fall semesters of the second year, students will receive guidance from their main supervisor in Project Exercises II and III, conduct practical research to solve specific problems, and prepare a master's thesis or research results for a specific topic, which will then be reviewed by the "Seminar Supervision Committee."

Students who choose the three-year course will select a project seminar supervisor in the early fall semester of their second year, take project seminars I, II, and III, and in the fall semester of their third year will prepare a master's thesis or research results on a specific topic, which will be examined.
