Research Institute
In order to promote unique research that our university considers to be a priority, we are publicly soliciting and establishing research units with internal funding.
The Institute will promote and support these research units. -
General Project Research Institute
We support research institutes with competitive funding from public research funding agencies, such as Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, as well as external funding acquired through joint research and commissioned research with companies, and promote industry-government-academia collaboration projects.

Liaison Center
In order to meet societal demands, we will strengthen our organizational research support system in order to promote commissioned and collaborative research with local communities and companies, taking into account the needs of local communities and companies, and academic and technological trends.
We will promote practical research and development in order to give back to society the interdisciplinary research results that transcend the boundaries of fields that are a distinctive feature of our university. -
University Library
There are two libraries: the main library on Aoyama campus and Mandai Memorial Library on the Sagamihara campus, with a collection of 1.8 million books.
We have developed databases to enable efficient searching of academic information, and a wide range of content can be accessed via the website.
In addition, to support research and education both on and off campus, we cooperate with research libraries both in Japan and overseas to provide a wide range of services. -
Academic Writing Center
This is a facility attached to the library that aims to "support the development of independent writers" as a "university library that supports comprehensive academic activities."

Information and Media Center
In order to advance education and research at our university and each of the schools affiliated with the academy, we are an institution that improves the information environment, supports and disseminates ICT-based education, and conducts research and studies in the fields of information basics and information science.

Foreign Language Laboratory
The purpose of the Center is to improve the learning environment to advance foreign language education, provide services related to foreign language education using audiovisual methods, and provide comprehensive support for the language learning of our students and the educational and research activities of our faculty members that contribute to this.

Environmental Safety Center
The facility is designed to protect the living environment of local residents and ensure safety during experimental research, and is based on various laws and regulations related to environmental conservation and safety and health. It also takes measures against environmental risks arising from educational and research activities that use chemical substances, responds to legal requirements, and provides educational and awareness-raising activities for students and faculty members.

Schoonmaker Memorial Centre for Gender Studies
The Center for Gender Studies was established with the goal of carrying on the tradition of women's education that was carried out by Aoyama Gakuin Women's Junior College after the war into a new era, and of paving the way for a fair and dynamic future society that recognizes differences.

Aoyama History Research Institute
Aoyama History Research Institute aims to analyze and examine the historical materials collected and held by Aoyama and to conduct broad research on the historical role that Aoyama played in modern Japanese society, thereby examining the influence of Christian culture on modern Japan and contributing to the development of educational history, intellectual history, and modern and contemporary history.

Civic Engagement Center
This facility is dedicated to researching and developing educational programs that cultivate a global public spirit that allows participants to live in society as "stakeholders" and take on the responsibility of social change by gaining experience in tackling social issues through activities with local governments, NPOs, international cooperation NGOs, social businesses, and other organizations.
