With a focus on East Asian and Southeast Asian languages, particularly Chinese Mandarin, Kradai, and Tibetan, this course examines basic vocabulary, phonological features, and grammatical features by locating them in time and space through documented linguistic history and language maps, and traces the process of their formation.
