On Monday, April 6, 2026, the "Aoyama Gakuin University Vice President Inauguration Ceremony" was held in the main chapel, officiated by Ken Omiya, head of the university's religious affairs General Manager.

After a prayer was offered by General Manager Religious Affairs Ito, General Manager of Religious Affairs Omiya of the University made a "pledge" upon assuming the position. Then, in his "address," Chancellor YAMAMOTO Yoshiharu introduced the new Vice President 's background and area of expertise, and President INAZUMI Hiroshige then gave an "introduction of the new Vice President."

Professor Seishi Warita (College of Literature Department of History) then spoke on the occasion of his Vice President inauguration, "I would like to thank you for solemnizing the Vice President inauguration ceremony today. As Vice President in charge of future planning, I would like to take initiatives with a view to the future of the university. The environment surrounding universities is undergoing unprecedented changes, including declining birthrates, international affairs, and the evolution of AI. Aoyama This year marks the 152nd anniversary of our founding, and while cherishing our long history of trial and error, we will not be bound by the past, but will instead begin a new journey toward the future. I look forward to working with faculty, staff, and all of you to fulfill the responsibilities of my position as I envision the university in 2040.

The inauguration ceremony was concluded with congratulatory speeches by HOTTA　Nobumitsu Chair, Board of Trustees and a prayer of blessing by Satoru Ito, the head of the Satoru Institute Religion General Manager.
