Uzbekistan government officials visit our university

On Friday, November 1, 2024, on the Aoyama campus, Akihiro Sakurai, Advisor to Minister of Digital Technology of Uzbekistan (School of International Politics, Economics and Communication Department of International Politics graduate), Deputy Director of the Center for Digital Education Development ASQAROV JASUR, Director of the Center for Digital Education Development TASHPULATOV ALISHER, Advisor to the Director of the Center for Digital Education Development, and BARNAEV of the IT Education Association President NODIRBEK visited the university and met with INAZUMI Hiroshige President, SUGIMOTO Taku Vice President, NAKASATO Munenori Vice President, Kiyoshi Masumoto, Director of the International Center, and Takaya Toda, General Manager of the International Center.

Uzbekistan, located in Central Asia, was originally an agricultural country dominated by the cotton industry, but as a national strategy, it focused on building a borderless global digital economy as a solution to the logistics problem of being a double landlocked country, and is currently achieving remarkable development in the digital field. As a promotional organization, the Ministry of Digital Technology of Uzbekistan is engaged in IT human resource development, from elite education to children's elite education, strengthening IT universities, and attracting IT companies and foreign companies through IT parks that gather IT-related companies. In contrast to Japan, where the population is aging, the young population is growing tremendously, so it is an issue to support them to become active in the IT and digital fields.

Through this meeting, we hope that exchanges and cooperation with Uzbekistan institutions will be strengthened in the future, as we have produced many alumni from our university who have risen to the top of IT and digital companies such as CyberAgent, including Akihiro Sakurai, an advisor to the Minister of Education and Research to tackle common issues.
