Comment from SANDS representative Tomoaki Takimoto (2nd year student, Department School of International Politics, Economics and Communication Department of International Politics and Economics)

I am delighted to have had the opportunity to speak as a student representative on such a grand stage as the United Nations University. In addition to introducing the student organization I lead, I called for partnerships on global issues. I believe that in order to create a sustainable future, it is essential that everyone, regardless of age, gender, or nationality, comes together and co-creates. When I conveyed this message, I saw many people nodding in agreement, and I truly felt the importance of engaging with these issues. I will continue to take responsibility for my words and, through SANDS' diverse projects, strive to create a society where no one is left behind and an exciting future.

Comment from Reiji Takahashi (2nd year student, Department School of International Politics, Economics and Communication Department of International Politics Economics), Project Leader of the Used Clothing Project

We participated in a student group booth held at Itochu SDGs STUDIO. We were happy to be able to teach visitors how to make eco-bags from used clothing, but more importantly, it was a valuable learning opportunity for us SANDS students. Seeing the energetic activities of other student groups reaffirmed our motivation to further develop SANDS, and deepening our relationships with the participating companies was also a wonderful gain. We will cherish the connections we made at HAPPY EARTH FESTA and boldly take on large projects that cannot be achieved by students alone.
