Thesis Review Criteria

(1) Master's thesis research
- Appropriateness of problem setting: The research topic must be clearly defined, and the reason why the research topic is important must be clearly stated, taking into account its position in relation to previous research.
- Validity of the research method: The research method set is appropriate to achieve the research objectives.
- Logical consistency: The logic in the process of arriving at a conclusion on the issue is consistent.
- Compliance with research ethics: Respect research ethics and follow rules regarding citations, referencing, etc.
(2) Research projects
- The contents of the research report must reflect the breadth of study appropriate for the degree.
The assigned task is recognized to have exploratory and problem-finding value in the relevant field.
-It is expected that the award will contribute to the future development of academic, business, and other activities in the relevant field.
-Research ethics must be respected and the rules regarding citations, referencing, etc. must be observed.
[Criteria for Doctoral Degree Application Thesis Review]
Regarding the award of a degree, the doctoral dissertation submitted by the degree applicant is reviewed by five members of the Research Guidance Committee to decide whether or not to award the degree. The review process consists of an evaluation of the doctoral dissertation research plan, an interim report on the doctoral dissertation, a final report on the doctoral dissertation, and a final review of the doctoral dissertation. The review criteria are as follows:
1. Appropriateness of the topic: An appropriate research topic must be clearly set, and the reason why that research topic is important must be explained.
2. Level of information gathering: The researcher must have sufficient knowledge of previous research and must have appropriately and sufficiently gathered the data and materials necessary for their argument.
3. Validity of research method: The established method must be appropriate for achieving the research objectives. In addition, the position of the research in question in relation to previous research must be clearly stated, the research must have an original idea or point of view, and the research must be recognized as making an academic contribution.
4. Validity of logical development: The logic in the process of arriving at a conclusion to the problem must be consistent. The meaning of the analysis results must be properly explained, not just described.
5. Thesis structure: The thesis should be written in a well-articulated format with an introduction, main text, and conclusion. Each part should be organically connected to form a whole. Also, quotations, annotations, charts, etc. should be well-organized.
6. Other: The paper distinguishes between observed facts and the assertions of others and the author's own assertions. When facts or the assertions of others are referred to or quoted, the source of the information is clearly indicated. Papers cited or referenced in the text are listed in the reference list.
Ethical considerations
For both master's and doctoral programs, depending on the content of the thesis, appropriate ethical considerations must be given to the formulation and execution of research plans, the presentation of research results, and the storage and disclosure of data.
