[College of Science and Engineering] Assistant Professor Itaru Raifuku wins the Best Oral Presentation Award at PVSEC36
Assistant Professor Itaru Raifuku (College of Science and Engineering Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Ishikawa Laboratory) received the "Best Oral Presentation Award" at the "36th International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC36)" held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 9th (Sun) to 14th (Fri), 2025.
[Presentation Title] Pulsed voltage-driven electroluminescence imaging method for perovskite solar cells
[Presenter] Raifukuji
Research overview
This study aimed to establish evaluation techniques for perovskite solar cells.
Perovskite solar cells are expected to be the next generation of solar cells, but they have durability issues, and there is a need to establish a method for easily evaluating their performance. In this study, we focused on the electroluminescence (EL) method, which has been used in conventional solar cell evaluation. Traditionally, performance degradation during the EL evaluation process has been a problem, but through analysis of the degradation mechanism, we succeeded in establishing an EL evaluation method that does not cause degradation.

Assistant Professor Shizuo Rai (College of Science and Engineering Laboratory, Department Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics Faculty of Science and Technology)
I am deeply honored to receive the prestigious "Best Oral Presentation Award." As an assistant professor involved in both research and education, this recognition of our work on evaluation technology for perovskite solar cells, which we have been developing together with students, is a great encouragement to me. I will continue to deepen my research with students and collaborators so that I can contribute to the realization of a sustainable energy society.
